For the first time in France elected a transgender mayor
According to the news in Euronews, Marie Cau made history as the country’s first transsexual mayor in the elections held in a settlement in the north of France.
Marie Cau, a business person, has been living in Tilloy-lez-Marchiennes for 20 years. Expressing that social bond has come to a breaking point, Marie Cau says that the citizens demand change.
Marie Cau said: “Citizens did not choose me because Social bonds have almost disappeared here. People want changes.”
There is discrimination in the village ( population 600). Trans individuals have a normal political and social life.
